PEOPLE | SHEIK PRAN BABU SARDAR PASHA

Sheik Pran Babu Sardar Pasha (M.Tech, B.Tech)

Last year I wrote with Mike an successful application for a competitive DAAD fellowship (Sandwich Model Fellowships for Ph. D. Registered Scholars). This stipend allows me to extend my PhD studies that I started in the lab of Dr. G. Sangiliyandi at the Dept. of Biotechnology, Kalasalingam University, Anand Nagar, India. After 2 month german classes in India and another 4 month german classes in Berlin I joined the lab in October 2010 for the period of one year. I am interested in studying the relationship between retinal glia and vasculature - in the next year I will concentrate on their interaction and roles during retinal regeneration.
